Definition – IP Address
Internet protocol address, it is a network address assigned to a device on a network only once. It is necessary for the correct routing and delivery of data packets. An IP address is a unique identifier for a computer that identifies its location on the Internet—shows which provider is using it. A 32-bit IP address (also called IPv4) comprises four sets of statistics from 0 to 255.
The idea of Address can refer to IP Address. In the specific case of calculations, this is an expression consisting of letters and numbers associated with a place in the computer’s memory. On the other hand, IP is an English acronym for Internet Protocol (“Internet Protocol”). An IP address in this structure is a number that identifies the network interface of a computer, smartphone, or other device using the above protocol. This Address can be static or dynamic.
We can say that an IP address is an identifier that allows computing devices to be connected. Those who require a persistent connection need a static (fixed) IP address to find themselves on the network: the server that hosts the website, the email server, etc.

What is the Use of an Internet Protocol Address?
Domain names associated with IP addresses are using to help users remember sites on the Internet.
However, a computer that is assigned a dynamic IP address does not have a fixed number. It is why the identification in question changes periodically.
In short, an IP address can be implicit as a label that identifies a device’s interface on an IP-managed network. These identifiers are now made up of four numeric blocks, consisting of numbers from 0 to 255. For example, 184.108.40.206 could be an IP address. The public IP address is using by a specific device connected to the network. It is transmitted directly to any website or application that is accessing from that device.
Because IP addresses act as labels for devices, they can be using by service providers, cybercriminals, ISPs, and governments to locate a user’s device and track their online activity. People can hide their IP addresses to prevent the collection of data by third parties.
What are the Types of IP Addresses?
IP addresses are classifying into two types.
It can be used in two ways: dynamic IPs and static IPs.
It is a set of numbers that are assigning to each computer connected to the private network. For example, an IP address is generating when you click your mobile phone, tablet, or computer to your home Wi-Fi network.
On the other hand, remote IP addresses are subdividing into three dialing ranges. These are the following:
- Class A
From the 10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255. It is usually used for large networks such as a multinational company network;
- Class B
From the 172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255. Designed for medium-sized networks such as a local company or school network;
- Class C
From the 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255. Suitable for small networks such as home networks.
They are visible to anyone who browses the Internet and can identify users on an extensive network. It is design for servers that run 24 hours a day and can be hire as many times as you want. This is the number that identifies the device on the network and the point of connection to the Internet.

What are the Ways to Use IP Address?
It is the IP address assign to the device and does not change. This means that you will use the same IP address your entire life. It applies to both public and private lessons. Static IP addresses provide faster download speed and stability.
Although they may be more susceptible to certain inconveniences, such as hacker attacks; Since these are static addresses, hackers have more time to work with them. There is an additional fee to get an IP address, and it needs to be manually configuring, so unless you have any technical expertise, you will need to hire someone to help you with the service.
Dynamic IP addresses change every time the device connects to the Internet. Typically used when ISPs have more clients than IP addresses due to the low likelihood of all of them clicking at the same time.
In addition to providing greater security and privacy, its configuration is automatic.
