Open Finder by pressing Command + Shift + G. Next, copy the following command: /System/Library/CoreServices/ and paste it into the Finder. Press Enter.

You won’t see the Notification center until you restart your computer.

● Disabling/Enabling Dashboard

To disable: Open the terminal, and once again, please enter the following command: defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES. Press Enter.

Next, enter the Command: killall Dock.

As soon as you enter these commands, it will restart the Finder, and the dashboard will not appear anymore.

You may want to enable it again, to do so, follow these instructions:

To enable:  Enter the following command in terminal: defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean NO. Press Enter.

Next: killall Dock. Enter.

However, if both processes keep running in the background, it’s a good idea to disable them, especially when juicing out every ounce of your Mac’s performance capabilities when gaming.
